Mazda CX-5 Interior Reviews

Mazda cars are known for their finely and precisely crafted design, so it's no surprise when you open the door to find a refined interior. In our Mazda CX-5 interior review, we'll take you on a tour of that space.

We'll look at this 5-passenger SUV, which makes comfort a priority with available front and rear heated seats. The cockpit is designed with the driver in mind with intuitively placed gauges and high-tech features, like the available Active Driving Display.

This feature projects important information, such as current speed and navigation onto the lower portion of the windshield, so you can stay in-the-know without taking your eyes off the road. Read our interior review to learn more!

Mazda CX-5 Trim Levels

Once you've decided that the Mazda CX-5 is the right SUV for you, the next step is deciding which of the three trim levels is going to give you what you need. We'll look into what makes all three trims unique in this review.

  • For example, the base level is the Sport trim, which sets a strong foundation, with handy features like the MAZDA CONNECT™ Infotainment system and a standard Blind Spot Monitoring feature that alerts you to cars in your side blind spots.
  • The next two levels are the Touring and Grand Touring trims, and they add on features like available Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop and Go and an available power sliding-glass moonroof. Check out our Mazda CX-5 trim levels review to discover your ideal trim.

Mazda CX-5 Configurations

The Mazda CX-5 is a highly versatile SUV, with several configuration options that allow you to personalize your ride. For example, it comes with a SKYACTIV®-G 2.5L engine, but you have the choice between front-wheel drive (FWD) and available i-ACTIV AWD®  drivetrains.

The i-ACTIV AWD® system uses clues, like windshield wiper and headlight use, to sense when you may be experiencing low-traction conditions. If you are, this drivetrain will automatically redistribute torque between all four wheels to help you improve traction or efficiency.

This SUV also offers a full cargo capacity of 59.6 cubic feet with the rear seat folded down flat, but you can adjust as needed to accommodate passengers and cargo. Keep the rear seat up and have 30.9 cubic feet of trunk space or take advantage of the 40/20/40 split capability to divide your space as you see fit.
