2018 Mazda3 Review

The Mazda3 is arguably the most exciting vehicle to drive in the compact car class, offering superior handling and responsiveness. This is a car that will certainly spice up your commutes around Stroudsburg, Easton, Brodheadsville and Saylorsville-but it's also fairly practical, especially if you opt for the versatile and roomy hatchback body style.

In this 2018 Mazda3 review, our team at Ray Price Mazda has compiled all of the information you need about this car, so you can easily decide if it would be a good fit for your lifestyle.

Mazda3 Performance

The Mazda3 offers two different engines to choose from, so you can opt for the power you want. The base engine is a 2.0L 4-cylinder that produces 155 horsepower and is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. You can upgrade to a 2.5L 4-cylinder that pumps out 184 horsepower and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. A 6-speed automatic transmission is available on either engine, too.

The 2018 Mazda3 is EPA-estimated to achieve a fuel efficiency rating of 28 city/37 highway MPG, which is good for the class.1 The car is often praised for its sporty drive quality, befitting a much more expensive car.

Mazda3 Cabin & Cargo Capacity

The Mazda3 is available in either a sedan or a hatchback body style. Both models seat five occupants on standard cloth upholstery, and come with a standard tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, which is rare for a compact car. Available options include leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a power-adjustable driver's seat and sport seats. The regular bucket seats already feature extra bolstering, which keeps you in place if you decide to test the car's abilities.

In the Mazda3 sedan, you'll have trunk space measuring 12.4 cubic feet. For more room, opt for the Mazda3 hatchback, which offers 20.2 cubic feet of cargo space when all seats are in use. Fold down the back row of seats, and you'll reveal a total of 47.1 cubic feet of cargo capacity.
