This version of the Mazda3 has a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with 155 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque, as well as a rearview camera, Dynamic Stability Control, a traction control system, the Mazda advanced restraint system, and air conditioning with a pollen filter. It's a manual transmission, but the 6-speed automatic transition can be purchased for an additional $1,050.

Mazda3 Touring

The second of the 2017 Mazda3 trim levels is the Touring, which starts at about $21,280 MSRP for the 6-speed manual transmission. Going up to this level means you'll get leatherette seating trim, dual-zone automatic climate control with pollen filter, keyless entry, push-button start, 18-inch wheels, and advanced Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Mazda3 Grand Touring

The most inclusive of the 2017 Mazda3 trim levels is the Grand Touring trim, which starts at about $23,230 MSRP for a manual transmission and $24,280 MSRP for an automatic transmission. Choosing this trim level means switching to a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with 184 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. It also includes a Bose® 9-speaker surround sound system with Centerpoint® 2 and AudioPilot® 2, leather seats, LED fog lights, and a heads-up display. 

Fuel Economy Considerations

The automatic sedan Sport and Touring Mazda trim levels get an EPA-estimated 28 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway,1 while the automatic Grand Touring version gets an EPA-estimated 27 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway. The manual Sport and Touring sedans get an EPA-estimated 27 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway, while the manual Grand Touring sedan gets an EPA-estimated 25 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway.
